【University of Nottingham】Biomedical Sciences BSc (Hons)

biomedical sciencesコースの最初段階から、学生の知的能力と学習能力を伸ばすことを目指しています。講義に加えて、問題解決型のワークショップ、及びラボラトリークラスでデータを収集や解釈し、結果をまとめて小論文や学位論文の作成など活動を通して、スキルをさらに開発します。試験、実験室レポート、学位論文、コースワーク、口頭発表、ポスター発表、プロジェクトレポートなど、さまざまな形で評価されます。また、研究セミナー、客員研究員や専門家による講演会、研修などモジュール以外の学術的な活動に参加する機会もあります。

独立研究プロジェクトを完成する必要があります。それを通して、研究室での研究、データ分析、クリティカルシンキングスキルを向上させます。イギリスのキャンパスへの交換留学も可能です。

ファンデーションコース

Foundation in Scienceは、1 + 3年間のプログラムであり、学部に直接受け入れることができます。このコースは、最適な学習環境を作り、言語強化、数学、クリティカルシンキング，及び学習能力を目指しています。その上、学生が選択モジュール中に選んだ学部に関連するトピックを学ぶことができます。例えば、chemistry, ecology, computer programming or psychologyに進学する機会があります。

プログラムの内容

コースの構成

◼︎1年目
生物医学科学を幅広くカバーすることになります。人体の主要なシステムや経路を紹介し、これらを病気に関連付けることができるように学びます。

◼︎2年目
科学的な研究技術に重きを置き、薬物の使用や作用機序に関するモジュールを履修します。最終学年になる前の夏休みには、様々な医療研究室で臨床ローテーションを研修し、血液学、化学病理学、病理組織学、細胞診などの分野で実際に働く経験を積みます。

最終年度の専門モジュールでは、医学と健康科学の最新内容と将来の方向性について学習します。
