ファンデーションコース

Foundation in Engineeringは、1 + 3年間のプログラムであり、学部に直接受け入れることができます。このコースは、最適な学習環境を作り、言語強化、数学及び、物理科学への理解を目指しています。その上、学生が選択モジュール中に選んだ学部に関連するトピックを学ぶことができます。例えば、thermal science or chemistry to electricity and magnetismに進学する機会があります。

プログラムの内容

コースの構成

◼︎1年目
初年度では、流体の流れ、加熱と冷却、化学組成の変化、熱と電力の相互関係を含む操作のメカニズムと原理を学習します。材料とエネルギーのバランス、分離プロセス、環境工学の基礎を紹介し、小規模な実験室での作業を例示しています。

◼︎2年目
2年目には、一般的なプロセスの操作、装置の項目とその設計のための方法について学びます。また、中間的な範囲の研究室業務も行います。環境工学コースを学修する場合は、材料、バイオテクノロジー、界面、化学熱力学、エンジニアリングマネジメント、環境保護または環境評価もカバーします。

◼︎3年目
3年目には、安全性、分離技術、原子炉、制御、プロジェクト管理についてより高度なレベルを学びます。環境工学コースを学修する場合は、化学製品設計、化学製品設計、廃棄物・廃水処理のいずれかを学習します。実験室での研究は、より広い範囲で行われ、大規模なグループプロジェクトを完了することになります。

◼︎4年目
MEngの学生は、4年次入る前に、最低限12週間の外部機関で産業研修を受け、適切なコースワークの要件を満たす必要があります。MEngの4年目には、流体、熱、多相流プロセス、反応器、全プロセス合成のより高度な側面に重きを置いて研究を行います。環境工学コースの場合、大気汚染についても学びます。また、自分の専門分野をさらに発展させることができるように、充実した幅広いグループプロジェクトを行うことになります。
