このプログラムの初期の部分は、薬学の基礎知識を身につけます。
カリキュラムの特徴は、薬学部の4つの主要分野を体系ごとに学ぶ総合科目からスタートすることです。

これは、これから薬剤師として実践していく上での強固な基盤となります。

専門家の承認

薬学（学士）プログラムの学士号は、マレーシア薬学委員会（MPB）によって承認されています。

プログラム詳細

プログラムの期間は4年間です。

各年には、14週間の授業と2週間の試験からなる2つの長期セメスターと、7週間の授業と1週間の試験からなる1つの短期セメスターがあります。長期セメスターは1月と5月に、短期セメスターは9月に始まります。

11月と12月には、学生はCo-Operative Placement Schemeの下で産業研修を受け、実際の職場環境に慣れるための学習を行います。また、最終学年では研究開発プロジェクトにも取り組みます。

面接

学力的に資格のある候補者は、入学のための面接に出席する必要があります。面接の結果により、プログラムへの入学が決定されます。

評価

UCSI大学薬学部では、有能な薬剤師を育成することを主な目的として学生を評価しています。倫理、コミュニケーション、知識、分析力、批判的思考力が評価に組み込まれています。様々な課題、実践と訪問レポート、口頭発表、研究プロジェクトビバ、患者カウンセリング、チュートリアル、問題ベースのセッション、そして最後に試験が評価方法となります。

(With reference to the Score system of the Universities and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS) carried out at United Kingdom for A-level result with score of A+ = 140, A=120, B=100 and C=80)

将来のキャリア展望

マレーシアは近年、国の薬剤師数を増やすというビジョンを掲げています。
これを達成することで、国の調剤分離能力への進出が可能になります。
調剤分離とは、医師から処方された薬を薬剤師が単独で調剤することを認める制度です。この制度は、薬剤師が薬物療法に関する重要な情報を提供するだけでなく、薬に関する問題点をスクリーニングして特定することで、国民に大きな利益をもたらすことになります。
調剤分離は、国における薬剤師の役割の拡大につながると考えられています。
